FIELD: shipbuilding; building of hovercraft.
SUBSTANCE: solid fore section of bottom of single-hulled hovercraft has many fore parts and each of them has flat lower keel. Transverse aft guard is connected with fore parts making use of inclined bearing surface and pair of external guards forming air chamber for charging it with compressed air for forming air cushion under water. Respective water ducts located between each pair of fore parts decrease energy of waves during operation. Sea-going single-hulled vessel has many fore parts forming the hull, many ducts for water flow located between fore parts, stern, one hull extending from fore section as far as stern, air pressure section, unit for directing the compressed air and unit for forward motion or towing. Section under air pressure is reliably isolated by fore parts and water duct at front end and, by ridges on sides and by stern on rear end.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of watercraft operation due to combination of buoyancy with pneumatic and hydrodynamic forces supporting the vessel.
