SUBSTANCE: device for controlling patient care contains memory for storing a set of database configurations. Each database configuration preferably contains protocols, operation limits, sets of rules and/or working signs, which jointly define operation conditions, or specialization of device. Selection of database configuration is preferably based on information about certain patient, received from any location in distributed network of health care institution. It is possible to program the patient care controlling device to issue medicines to the patient.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of usage of reserves of patient care institution, lower costs of laboratory losses, improved quality of patient care.
