FIELD: shipbuilding; shipboard propellers, mainly shipboard screw-rudders.
SUBSTANCE: proposed shipboard screw-propeller includes load-bearing case extending sternward from transom with drive shaft mounted inside it and connected to shipboard engine, as well as support for propeller shaft inside which propeller shaft is mounted. Propeller is mounted at the end of propeller shaft and is connected with drive shaft by means of multi-purpose joint. Mounted on the aft end of said case and on fore end of said support diametrically opposite relative to each other are two shackles with bushes; axis of shackles of support is located at angle of 90° relative to axis of shackles of case. Located in between said case and support is ring whose outer side is provided with four pins; two pins are rotatably received by bushes of shackles of case and two other pins are received by bushes of shackles of support. Screw-rudder is also provided with flexible tube running inside said ring isolating the interior of screw-rudder. Bushes of shackles are made from material which forms friction pair together with material of pins of said ring, thus excluding use of lubricant during operation in water.
EFFECT: simplified construction of screw-rudder; enhanced reliability of sealing-up its interior.
