COMPOSITION OF THE MOTHER BATCH FOR PRODUCTION OF THE POLYOLEFIN PRODUCTS BY THE INJECTION MOLDING Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC C08L23/10 C08L23/16 C08F2/00

Abstract RU 2304598 C2

FIELD: petrochemical industry; motor car industry; rubber industry; composition of the mother batch for production of the polyolefin products by the injection molding.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the composition of the mother batch containing: (1) 10-50 mass % of the crystalline propylene homopolymer; (2) 50-90 mass % of the mixture consisting of a) ethylene copolymer and one or several α-olefins (α-olefin) described by the formula H2C=CHR, where R represents С2-C8 - the linear or branched alkyl radical, with the contents of the mentioned С410 α-olefins (α-olefin) at the level of 10-40 mass %; and (b) the amorphous copolymer of propylene and ethylene (the copolymer (b)), where the contents of ethylene is within the range of 20-70 mass % and for which the value of the intrinsic viscosity of the fraction soluble in the xylene at the temperature of 135°С is within the range from 2.2 up to 3.5 dl/g. At that the given value compounds from 0.8 up to 1.2 from the value of the intrinsic viscosity of the fraction of the copolymer (a) soluble in the xylene at the temperature of 135°С, where the mass ratio between the copolymer (a) and the copolymer (b) is within the range from 3/1 up to 1/3. The composition of the mother batch can be used in the thermoplastic polyolefin composition for the injected molding products containing at least one additional polyolefin. The polyolefin composition may be subjected to the injection molding with production of the large articles, which are characterized by the improved balance of their mechanical properties, in particular, the modulus of elasticity under bending and the impact resistance at the temperature of, for example, -30°C, and it is suitable for manufacture of the bumpers and the tires side strips.

EFFECT: the invention ensures, that polyolefin composition may be subjected to the injection molding with production of the large articles characterized by the improved balance of their mechanical properties, in particular, the modulus of elasticity under bending and the impact resistance at the temperature of -30°C, and it is suitable for manufacture of the motor car bumpers and the tires side strips.
