FIELD: building, particularly sand or soil fill consolidation.
SUBSTANCE: method involves performing vibratory submersion of compaction device in sand fill layer; vibrating the sand fill; lifting compaction device; periodically repeatedly lowering compaction device through predetermined depth along with continuous vibrator operation. Before vibratory compaction device submersion in fill layer for depth of not more than 3 m drainage system including horizontal perforated pipes is installed. The perforated pipes are covered with filtering material and connected with wells. The compaction device is made as cylindrical heavy-weight vibratory head with biased center. The vibratory head has preferably sharpened lower part and is connected with cable passing through hose. Hose diameter does not exceed outer diameter of vibratory head. Vibratory submersion of compaction device is carried out for the full fill layer thickness, namely for 0.5-40 m. Then vibration is carried out. Compaction device is uninterruptedly smoothly lifted at the rate of not more than 0.5 m/sec or lifted in several steps. Lower sublayer of the fill is vibrated for 2-7 min, compaction device is lifted for 20-40 cm and vibrated for 2-3 min. Then next layer is vibrated. After total compaction device lifting the compaction device is repeatedly lowered through predetermined depth spaced 20-1500 cm from previous depth along with continuous vibrator operation. After fill layer compaction termination water is discharged from drainage system. Soil samples are taken from all depths in one week and repeated fill layer compaction is carried out if necessary. The vibratory head may rotate and may have helical thread. If fill layer has humidity insufficient for optimal vibrator operation the fill layer is moistened by supplying water through perforated pipe. The perforation pipe is also used for excessive water removal from fill layer during compaction thereof. Fine crushed granite layer may be arranged around drainage system. Crushed granite layer thickness is 0.05-0.3 cm. Crushed granite layer may be enclosed by sand layer preferably reaching fill layer surface. The perforated pipes are spaced apart a distance equal to not less than 1 m. The method may be used for sand, soil and other fill material compaction.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and depth of sand or soil fill compaction along with increased uniformity of fill compaction through the full depth thereof.
