FIELD: engineering melioration of soils. SUBSTANCE: method for deep-seated vibrational compacting fine grain water saturated soils includes vibrating immersion of compacting device in soil down to design depth, vibrational compacting soil at this level, subsequent rise of the compacting device accompanied with vibration. Up to 36 V potential is fed to protective metallic grade of the compacting device during its vibrating immersion. Vibrational compacting soil is performed during the time determined by formula mentioned in the invention. Compacting device is lifted in steps accompanied with vibrating treatment of soil at any lifting step during the same period of time. Device for deep-seated vibrational compacting fine grain water saturated soils has compacting device in the form of spatial rod-type system comprising vertical perforated hollow rod with horizontal, members and a vibrator. The device has protective metallic grid. The rod is plugged and has water draining pipe placed in lower and upper parts respectively, is wrapped with filtering material and located in the protective metallic grad, connected to step-down transformer.
