FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely apparatuses for making helical-seam tubes with lock joint of seam for producing air conduits, filters, rubbish chutes and so on.
SUBSTANCE: aggregate includes shaping head and seaming unit. Shaping head includes two similar rigid flat yokes whose inner cylindrical surfaces provide wrapping of metallic band to predetermined diameter tube and whose sector-shaped cutouts provide interference-free inlet of band to seaming rollers without touching inner cylindrical surfaces of yokes. Cover plates or other antifriction coating may be surfaced onto inner cylindrical surfaces of yokes; rollers may be mounted on said surfaces. Seaming unit includes two shafts with seaming rollers mounted in different casings with possibility of rotation of casing of upper shaft relative to casing of lower shaft by action of spacing screw in plane normal to band motion direction on axle mounted in casing of lower shaft. One of upper and lower seaming rollers has turning for lock and other is smooth; said rollers are driven ones, they have kinematics links for coupling one roller with other and with rollers forming lock edges of band. Speed values of working surfaces of seaming rollers correspond to speed of band passing between rollers forming lock edges of band.
EFFECT: simplified design of aggregate, possibility for producing tube of regular geometry with improved quality of lock joint of seam.
