FIELD: processes and equipment for corrugating helical-seam tubes.
SUBSTANCE: machine includes corrugation module that may be selectively used for corrugating. Module includes inner corrugating roller mounted movable relative to outer corrugating roller and driven by means of cylinder. Method comprises steps of shaping non-corrugated portion of helical-seam tube; driving corrugating module for receiving desired length of corrugated tube and drawing it apart for shaping non-corrugated portion of tube. Then non-corrugated portion of tube is cut off by means of mutually overlapped inner and outer cut-off blades. Invention provides possibility for producing tubes with corrugated portion of any length.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of edges at cutting off tube.
