FIELD: agriculture, in particular, grain drying processes.
SUBSTANCE: method involves drying grain to the extent lower than normal amount of moisture using extension devices and further providing ventilation by means of outside air to reach amount of moisture corresponding to normal value; discharging dried grain; determining height of grain layer to be cooled and layer to be lying within reservoir from formulae:
where Gd is capacity of drying apparatus, t/hour; τc, τl and τd are times of cooling, lying and discharging of cooled layer, correspondingly, hour; F is section area of drying apparatus, m2; ρ is bulk grain density, t/m3; discharging cooled grain when layer height within reservoir reaches is H=hc+hl, and stopping discharging procedure when H=hc. Lower level sensor is positioned at height hc, and upper level sensor is positioned at height H=hc+hl.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of grain drying process.
