FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, conditions of executed program, different from its final and end states are determined, called restart points, for renewing operation of executed program after failure during its execution; on occurrence of interrupt due to appropriate control, following failures are determined: a) error of storage of random-access memory content - by means of controlling the appropriate part of random-access memory content, b) transfer of control to incorrect command - by controlling correctness of control transfer in processor and c) different interrupts in time - by controlling duration of operation of appropriate part of executed program and the given operation system; during processing of corresponding interrupt and occurrence of any one of recognized failures under acceptable work continuation conditions, execution of executed program is restarted, beginning from restart point most closely preceding the current interrupt.
EFFECT: possible timely recognition of failures occurring in process of functioning of program computing means, and possible corresponding reaction to failure of each type.
