FIELD: irrigated agriculture, in particular, measurement equipment, scientific and experimental investigations carried out by agricultural scientific-and-research organizations for determining productivity of farm crops cultivated on round fields equipped with circle sprinkler machines.

SUBSTANCE: method involves, before sowing of farm crop under investigation on field to be irrigated, providing operating condition of circle sprinkler machine and driving it for circular motion when it reaches process road; providing three radial rays from center of immovable support onto peripheral part of field at time intervals of 1 hour over arch by outer supporting cart to form protective zones at the beginning and at the end of irrigation process; aligning centers of control allotments with central radial ray; changing shape of control allotments equal in area on plot between wheel tracks from square to elongated rectangle whose longer side is extending in parallel with tangent to average-radius circle of displacement of supporting cart at point of intersection of radial ray; changing shape of control allotments on plots irrigated by means of short-jet heads fixed on cantilevered part of water pipeline and long-jet sprinkler unit fixed at end of water pipeline into double-row or single-row contour with predetermined number of plants of various crops.
