FIELD: shipbuilding; connecting hull parts (pontoons) of large-capacity ships when afloat.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device has angle-piece mounted on one of ship's hull parts being connected and engageable with elastic sealing-up member made in form of tape. Device is provided with metal box mounted on second part of ship's hull to be connected. One vertical wall of this box projects beyond edge of joint and tape of elastic sealing-up member is P-shaped in section formed by conjugation of circular cylinder with rectangular strip. Sealing-up member is secured on angle-piece web.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of sealing-up joints when afloat; low labor input due to avoidance of diving work.
