SUBSTANCE: magnetic compass comprises housing with chamber filled with the compass fluid, magnetic sensor, and compensator of temperature variation of the volume of compass fluid that has two spaces separated by the flexible baffle. The spaces embrace the chamber, and one of the spaces is connected with the chamber and the other is filled with air. The space of the compensator filled with fluid is formed by the side of the chamber and flexible baffle secured to the side of the chamber. The charging port lies at the center of the chamber bottom. The port receives the valve provided with piston and spring. The inner side of the chamber is conical and its top points downward to the charging port.
