FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: magnetic compass has a case filled with damping fluid, a magnetic sensitive element with a magnetic system, a two-component induction converter, placed symmetrically about the magnetic sensitive element and the induction converter, a double-channel electronic digital computer. The electronic digital computer is connected by the first output to the input of the first control unit, connected by the output to the first motor, linked by mechanical transmission to revolving magnets of the compensator of semicircular deviation, placed in a plane which is parallel the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the compass. The computer is connected by the second output to the input of the second control unit, connected by the output to the second motor, linked by mechanical transmission to the revolving magnets of the compensator of semicircular deviation, placed in a plane, perpendicular the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the compass.

EFFECT: provision for independent automatic elimination of semicircular deviation of the compass and its variations when a vessel is sailing.
