FIELD: passive location, possible use for determining position of radio emission source by means of a passive locator, positioned on a carrier.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, on a carrier additionally to main position, represented by narrow-base passive location system and consisting of antenna-receiving modules, a remote position is created which together with main position forms an average-base passive location system with base, and on synthesizing interval simultaneous receipt of radio emission source is realized on main position and remote position, by means of support signal shared between main position and remote position, quadrature components of enveloping signals at outputs of antenna-receiving modules of main position and remote position are formed, measured and recorded. At each cycle of enveloping curve measurement the moment of measurement is recorded as well as positions of phase centers of antennas of modules at that moment, and coordinates of radio emission source in the region are determined on basis of data from main position and remote position, received at synthesizing interval.

EFFECT: increased precision when determining coordinates of radio emission source.
