FIELD: electrical machines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed contact member holder, primarily brush holder for commutator machines or slip-ring ones, has fixed yoke 11 secured on electrical machine frame and at least one guide 17 secured thereon that faces rotor and is used for fixing contact member 16 therein; it also has members 14 disposed between yoke 11 and guide 17 to eliminate coupling between them. These coupling eliminating components are made and disposed so that at least one guide 17 can perform rotary motion about rotor while turning to this or that side through limited angle only. Guide 17 can be disposed on intermediate yoke 13, coupling eliminating members 14 function to join yoke 11 and intermediate yoke 13 together. Coupling eliminating components 14 can be made in the form of flexible flat jumpers 19. Proposed device makes it possible to eliminate noise transmitting couplings between contact member 16 and electrical machine frame.

EFFECT: reduced noise produced by, and enhanced commutation quality of, electrical machine.
