FIELD: medicine, gynecology.
SUBSTANCE: the suggested vaginal tampon contains a moisture-absorbing element and an indicator of moisture. One end of the indicator is situated inside the moisture-absorbing element. The tampon is supplied with a cord sutured into the moisture-absorbing element and designed as a loop inside which there is the second end of the indicator of moisture, a transparent case applied outside onto the end of the moisture-absorbing element in which there are a cord with the indicator of moisture and a fixing element. The latter is placed at the end of the case being fixed through it towards the cord's end. The moisture-absorbing element is sutured with silver-containing ligatures by forming barrel-shaped parts at its lateral surface. The innovation in question enables to increase the simplicity in application, rigidity, reliability of application and information value on the tampon's filling condition.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
