SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of enamels used to coat steel and cast iron articles. Enamel of invention is composed of, wt %: SiO2 50.0-55.0, B2O3 5.0-10.0, Na2O 3.0-5.0, MgO 12.0-15.0, TiO2 1.0-2.0, Al2O3 1.0-2.0, CaF2 1.0-2.-, CaO 3.0-5.0, MnO2 1.0-2.0, ZnO 10.0-15.0.
EFFECT: increased impact strength of enamel.
