FIELD: engineering of impulse sources of seismic oscillations, possible use in geological survey of oil and gas formations during geophysical research in wells, in zones which transition from dry land to sea and in offshore water.

SUBSTANCE: gas-dynamic source of seismic oscillations comprises electric power system, body, which comprises combustion chamber, bottom of which is sealed by bursting membrane, electrolyzer, mounted above the combustion chamber, connected to combustion chamber via a pipe, provided with shutoff valve, and initiating device.

EFFECT: increased safety of operations due to prevented explosion of electrolytic gases and expanded range of application of seismic oscillation source.
