FIELD: heat-and-power engineering, particularly to supply heat and power to buildings and building structures and to other facilities consuming hot water, air or steam.
SUBSTANCE: methane recovery method provides recovery of mine methane contained in methane-air mixture in amount of more or less than 25%. Method involves retarding explosion-hazardous mixture by adding retarding agent, for instance combustion products, to the mixture and converting the mixture into combustible one. In the case of 21%≤CH4≤25% methane content in methane-air mixture retarding agent is added in amount of 18.06-47.6%. To convert the ready mixture into combustible one the mixture is saturated with air taken in amount of 41.13-37.4% correspondingly.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of methane utilization for further electric power or heat generation.
