FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines,. Particularly, to methods and devices for preparation and delivery of fuel-water emulsion to supply said engines. Invention makes it possible to use fuel-water emulsion without reduction of engine power characteristics. Proposed method of metering out, preparation and delivery of fuel-water emulsion to carburetor internal combustion engines come to mixing fuel and water. Fuel and water get into meter through standard fuel pump at suction mode. Mixing of fuel and water is done at intersection of flows in right-hand and left-hand screw grooves with subsequent emulgation in mixer. Non-used emulsion is removed from standard fuel system by standard fuel pump at suction mode and control is carried out by electrohydraulic valves. Device for metering out and preparation of fuel-water emulsion delivered to carburetor engines has housing, meter and mixer. Meter is made in form of cylinder with right-hand and left-hand screw grooves. Ratio of areas of cross section of said grooves corresponds to percent ratio of delivery of mixed components.
EFFECT: improved quality of preparation of fuel water emulsion, reduced consumption of fuel.
