FIELD: antenna assemblies free from support points in axes of revolution; test facilities for measuring radio characteristics of domes and other radio-transparent protective devices.
SUBSTANCE: proposed supporting-and-rotating device is made in the form of mechanism coupled with antenna and used to move the latter over arc of circumference made in the form of bow moving within link and provided with stiffening rib in plane perpendicular to axis of revolution; link is equipped with set of nine to eleven eccentric-mounted journal bearings contacting flat (minimum two bearings) and cylindrical (minimum three bearings) supporting surfaces of bow. Cylindrical supporting surface of bow is tightly fitted to journal bearings by means of spring-loaded bearings contacting inner cylindrical surface of bow.
EFFECT: enhanced measurement accuracy of radio characteristics due to enhanced precision of antenna positioning.
