FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: supporting and turning device (STD) includes a platform rotation module with the orientation object of it in the space by 360° in azimuth (azimuth module) and a rocking module of this platform by 30° in elevation. The azimuth module consists of an inner housing fixed on the base and an outer housing rotating aroung it by means of a drive, on which the above-mentioned rotating platform is fixed. The platform rocking module is movably fixed to the outer housing of the azimuth module by the elevation angle, kinematically connected to this platform and has its own individual drive. All drive modules are equipped with encoders and multi-turn resistors, which accurately determine the angles of platform rotation in azimuth and elevation. A distinctive feature of this STD is that assemblies of azimuth controller and drive control are located inside the housings of both modules. And to expand the range of temperature application of the STD from minus 50 to plus 50°C it is equipped with heaters in each of its independent housing connected to temperature sensors.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of the device rotation angle in azimuth and elevation is ensured by a new layout of the supporting and turning device modules, electronic control structure diagram, which allow to control the parameters of the device operation very accurately in automatic mode.
