FIELD: communication, location, and radio-electronic control systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed active phased antenna array designed to radiate super-short pulses of 1 ns length at repetition frequency of 10 kHz has N modules designed for unlimited operating time, each incorporating cascaded super-short pulse generator and radiator; generator of each module has pulse-generation cascade and two sequential pulse-compression cascades; radiator is built around two TEM horns connected to coaxial coupler.
EFFECT: enhanced operating time, reduced size and mass of array modules and of array as a whole.
