METHOD FOR ENDOSCOPICALLY ASSISTED TYMPANOPLASTY Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61F11/00 

FIELD: medicine, otorhinolaryngology.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with surgical therapy of middle ear diseases in case of pronounced curvature of anterior wall of meatus acusticus under conditions of poor survey of anterior tympanomeatal angle. The innovation refers to the access to anterior departments of tympanic membrane and perforation plasty, at the first stage of which one should carry out the renewal of the edges of perforation foramen in posterior departments, at the second stage - in anterior departments, at the third stage one should introduce tympanomeatal fragment to adapt it within the limits of visible posterior departments of perforation foramen of tympanic membrane under the control of surgical microscope, and at the fourth stage - it is necessary to adapt tympanomeatal fragment towards anterior edges of tympanic defect. Moreover, the second and the fourth stages should be carried out under endoscopic control. Application of the present method enables to exclude considerable tissue traumatism (because the access should be carried out without parotid incision and subsequent dissection of meatus acusticus structures) and, also, widen visualization of internal surgical field and its structures by, thus, shortening the terms of surgical interference.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
