FIELD: technique for size separation of bulk materials, may be used in coke and by-product processes for coke sorting, as well as in coal, mining, construction and other branches of industry.
SUBSTANCE: screen consists of two portions extending lengthwise thereof. Leading part of each screen portion has cells reducing in their size in the course of advancement of material to be screened, with cells of both sizes being similar in their shape. Cells are shaped so that they consist of four zones in the course of advancement of material to be screened: first triangular zone with angle at apex of 30-120 deg, second zone transitional from triangular zone to circle, third rectangular zone having length making from 0.25 to 0.75 of diameter of circle and width equal to diameter of circle, and forth terminating semi-circular zone having diameter of the same circle. Diameter of circle corresponds to boundary size of grain of material to be screened. All four zones of cell are contoured as unitary part and have drop-shaped form in plan.
EFFECT: improved quality of screening, increased screening efficiency, maximum yield of large-sized fraction of material under screening procedure.
