FIELD: paper industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for drying roll materials, mainly, paper, in process of its production. Proposed fast drying hood includes gas supply branch pipe, gas outlet branch pipe, recirculating branch pipe and waste gas discharge branch pipe, two-section gas-distributing chamber consisting of cylindrical housing misaligned with drying drum and bottom coaxial with drying drum formed by box members. Gas distributing channel has variable section decreasing in direction of gas extraction for blowing of material. Side walls of box members form inclined converging slotted nozzle, and inner spaces serve as gas outlet channels coming to side gas collecting channels. Gas collecting channels are divided by partitions into two spaces, first one, in direction of material travel, serves to release part of gas-air mixture from zone of constant drying velocity, being connected with gas discharge branch pipes, and second one is connected with recirculating gas outlet branch pipes.
EFFECT: improved quality of paper drying, reduced time of drying.
