FIELD: passive method of radar protection from homing weapon, in particular, from antiradar missiles.

SUBSTANCE: clouds of wideband dipole reflectors are used as passive reflectors of radio waves, at least one cloud of dipole reflectors is produced so that the predicted trajectory of the antiradar missile would pass above a part of the cloud reflectors at an altitude providing for simulation of the earth surface at a reflection of the altimeter signal from the mentioned reflectors, sources of thermal radiation simulating the thermal radiation of the protected radar are disposed along the predicted trajectory of motion of the antiradar missile, the density of the sources of thermal radiation is selected such that during motion of the antiradar missile over the cloud of the dipole reflectors at and altitude equal to or less than the value preset for engagement of the infrared homing head relative to the earth surface simulated by the mentioned reflectors, at least one source of thermal radiation would get in the field of view of the infrared homing head.

EFFECT: provided blast of the military charge of the antiradar missile at a considerable range from the protected radar.
