FIELD: active cathode materials affording battery characteristics immune to adverse effect of recharge and secondary battery using it.
SUBSTANCE: proposed active cathode material used for secondary lithium cell has lithium-transition metal oxide capable of lithium ion intercalation/deintercalation; in addition this active cathode material has lithium-manganese oxide used as dope and characterized in higher irreversible capacitance than mentioned lithium-transition metal oxide; it has laminated structure illustrated by formula 1: LiMxMn1 - xO2, where x is number satisfying 0.05 ≤ x < 0.5 and M is at least one metal chosen from group of Cr, Al, Ni, Mn, and Co.
EFFECT: improved recharge characteristics.
