FIELD: psychotherapeutical methods.

SUBSTANCE: indirect psychotherapy is proposed to treat obesity. Physician carrying smock color young green leaves performs session in a consulting room with walls colored as follows: orange perspective, green side surfaces, pale blue ceiling, brown floor. Patient is suggested to seat down at a table with a white napkin thereon, the napkin bearing colored images of favorite high-calorific foods on its peripheries. There is a sky blue plate placed in the center of napkin. Patient is then suggested to imagine a set of favorite food products in this plate. Simultaneously, table lamps are switched on: green ones emitting green light on one side and red ones emitting red light on the other side so that all light therefrom was directed to the plate. Session lasts 15 min. In the next session, 3 days latter, first session is repeated and supplemented by conduit psychotherapy to form aversion for the product provoking excessive appetite by way of visualizing this product along with disgusting objects. Third session, performed 5 days later, is a group psychological stability training and it is then repeated 10 times each second days during two hours each. Psychological stability training is performed together with people surrounding patient in his(her) family and is accompanied with still music and video filming. Video film is then seen and discussed.

EFFECT: achieved stable reduction in body weight.
