FIELD: mechanical engineering; compressors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cooled piston compressors operating without lubrication of working space and designed for compressing and transporting of gases. Proposed piston compressor contains cylinder with suction and delivery valves. Cylinder cover and piston are installed in cylinder for reciprocating. Cylinder housing is provided with inner and outer ribs formed by group of plates N, each group consists of plates N1,N2,N3,N4 and number of plates in each group can be different. Moreover, plates N1 are made with inner diameter d1=dc and outer diameter D1=Dr, plates N2 are made with inner diameter d2=dc+2hr and outer diameter D2=Dr-2Hr, plates N3 are made with inner diameter d3=dc and outer diameter D3=Dr-2Hr, and plates N4 are made with inner diameter d4=dc+2hr and outer diameter D4=Dr where N1,N2,N3,N4 is one of plate groups, d1 is inner diameter of plate N1, d2 is inner diameter of plate N2, d3 is inner diameter of plate N3, d4 is inner diameter of plate N4, dc is inner diameter of cylinder, hr is height of inner ribs of cylinder, Hr is height of outer ribs of cylinder, D1 is outer diameter of plate N1, D2 is outer diameter of plate N2, D4 is outer diameter of plate N4, Dr is outer diameter of cylinder over height of outer ribs Hr. Lower part of cylinder at distance L can be made without ribs so that d1=d2=d3=d4=dc. Coefficient of internal ribbing is increased at small height of ribs owing to reduction of rib-to-rib space, making it possible to increase degree of cooling of compressed gas without considerable increase of dead clearance volume.
EFFECT: improved cooling.
