FIELD: pipeline engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises preliminary mixing the liquid with inert gas and heating the mixture. The liquid is mixed with the inert gas up to saturation corresponding to the temperature and pressure of liquid at the entrance to the pipeline. The mixture is heated in the pipeline sections downstream of the local resistance up to a temperature that exceeds the liquid temperature in each of the pipeline sections by 10-40° thus providing emission of the inert gas from the liquid to generate a gas boundary layer at the wall of the pipeline.
EFFECT: reduced hydraulic resistance and power consumption.
