FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: method of photogrammetric calibration of photo cameras is based upon finding coordinates of points of flat test-object, photographing of test-object, measuring coordinates of points of test-object on shots, calculating elements of internal orientation and parameters of photographic distortion. Flat test-object is created on surface of earth. Photos are made from board of airplane from two heights of photographing. Height difference is found by means of on-board GPS. When calculating elements of internal orientation, coordinates of main point assumed equal to coordinates of central point of frame. Focal length is calculated from points of test-object, which points are disposed in symmetry to center of frame. Complete calibration of photo cameras of any format with any focal lengths of lenses can be made on base of shots of flat test-object and parameters of calibration can be achieved which parameters characterize total influence of factors which help distinguish real photo-shots from "ideal" central projection of photographed object under conditions of real air photographing.
