FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, in particular, manufacture of sheet and profiled rolled products.
SUBSTANCE: method involves melting steel having controllable content of manganese within predetermined range and containing chromium, nickel and copper admixtures; providing pouring and hot rolling; establishing content of manganese in steel in accordance with ratio: Mn=Mn3-(0.3·Cr+0.5·Ni+0.7·Cu), where Mn, Cr, Ni, Cu are contents of manganese, chromium, nickel and copper in steel, wt%; Mn3 is predetermined content of manganese in steel, which is at least 0.12%.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of manganese and improved strength characteristics of rolled products.
