FIELD: precious metallurgy, in particular, processing of concentrates containing precious metals and sulfides.

SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing concentrate with sodium carbonate, calcium carbonate and carbonaceous reducer; melting mixture and separating resultant matte from other melting products; additionally introducing iron oxide based product into composition intended for melting; leaching resultant matte in water followed by separating of insoluble bottom from solution; drying insoluble bottom in the presence of air oxygen and mixing with concentrated sulfuric acid; holding mixture at temperature of 300-400 C; leaching resultant cake in diluted sulfuric acid solution followed by separating of sulfate solution from insoluble bottom.

EFFECT: more complete extraction of precious metals into insoluble sulfate cake leaching bottom at high concentration extent and reduced losses of precious metals with slag and sulfate solution.
