FIELD: explosive engineering, applicable for destruction of chimneys and other structures of the tower type.

SUBSTANCE: the method for destruction of structures includes filling of the restricted space with an explosive mixture of combustible gas and gas oxidant (oxygen or air is used for the purpose) with formation of an explosive air-gas mixture, and initiation of the explosion of the air-gas mixture by blasting of a hard explosive. Then, the foundation is exposed around the chimney edges, and a perforated annular gas conduit is installed in the chimney cavity at the level of the foundation. The chimney cavity is isolated from the atmosphere, from the top the chimney cavity is isolated by a hydraulic stemming, the combustible gas or the mixture of gases is selected with a density less than the air density, blasting is performed after the delivery of the rated volute of the gas, mixture preventing demixing of the gas mixture.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of destruction of blind-type structures having a communication with the atmosphere in their upper and lower parts.
