FIELD: technology for testing anchor windings of constant current based collector electric machines.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, testing voltage is fed in turns to each two collector plates of two adjacent coils of anchor winding. The maximal value of differential impulse magnetic field of direct and reverse current from generator with asymmetric position of induction sensor relatively to these currents is measured above working surface of these collector plates. On basis of sharp decline practically down to zero of maximal value of impulse magnetic field inherent in zero defect part of anchor winding, and on basis of position of current-conductive contacts, the only shorted contour with location of coil shorting is detected. Generator voltage is increased up to former maximal values of differential magnetic field of two short circuit currents. Inductive sensor is moved along perimeter of detected shorted contour with coil shorting location, starting from point of feeding of testing impulse voltage to collector. On basis of disappearance of indicator readings, certain location is found - the point of coil shorting.
EFFECT: precise and unique detection of certain location of coil shorting, expanded area of application for any types of windings in any practically possible transitory resistances in location of defect (in case of metallic coil shorting and electric puncture of coil isolation through an arc).
