FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tests and control of DC machines collectors insulation in serial production. Summary: pulse test voltage of microsecond frequency range with pulse repetition of industrial frequency, is supplied to nonworking not-processed internal cylindrical part of collector to every two adjacent collector plates. Differential pulsed magnetic field is measured upstream and downstream of short circuit current starting from place of supply voltage of pulse voltage generator in two opposite directions in turns both towards end and collector side cocks to working collector outer surface, shorted with cast iron plates with pressure ring by means of induction sensor (ID), oriented with gap-slot into its magnetic conductor along tested collector plates several asymmetrically by maximum readings of pulsed magnetic fields meters. Test pulse voltage is increased to maximum readings of indicator. Detecting short circuit between collector plates by minimum readings of indicator when ID is located above rough end face parts and tested collector plates collector cocks. Changing spatial orientation of ID with air gap-slot in its magnetic conductor to across and symmetrically to found plates and by minimum readings of indicator. ID is displaced from point of voltage supply along found plates and accurately detect short circuit point between collector plates by maximum readings of pulse magnetic fields meter and by ID position.
EFFECT: possibility of objective accurate detection of short circuits between collector plates dovetail collectors DC machines and localisation of short circuit.
