METHOD FOR OBTAINING SYNTHETIC PERFLUOROCARBON BLOOD SUBSTITUTES AND OTHER MEDIA BASED UPON PERFLUOROCARBON EMULSIONS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61K9/00

Abstract RU 2308939 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with the ways for obtaining perfluorocarbon emulsions that are capable to transfer oxygen and other gases to be applied in synthetic perfluorocarbon blood substitutes and applied in medicine as blood-substituting emulsions. The innovation deals with obtaining perfluorocarbon emulsion due to mixing total quantity of perfluorocarbons with emulsifying agent and multiple homogenization of the mixture with the help of a high-pressure homogenizer, moreover, perfluoroorganic emulsion should be obtained due to flow-drop passing multi-component mixture of perfluorocarbons through the main and additional - through the second contours of high-pressure homogenizer that stand successively and a buffer tank being between them to level the pressure and which consists of the mixture of two perfluorocarbons: PPD/PPMCP, or PPD/PPTBA, or PPOB/PPMCP, or PPOB/PPTBA at the ratio ranged 1/1-10/10, correspondingly; or of the mixture of three perfluorocarbons: PPOB/PPD/PPMCP, or PPOB/PPD/PPTBA at the ratio ranged 1/1/1-10/10/10, correspondingly; or of the mixture of four perfluorocarbons: PPOB/PPD/PPMCP/PPTBA at the ratio ranged 1/1/1/1-10/10/10/10, correspondingly, at PPOC concentration ranged 1-40% emulsified with proxanol-268 solution at concentration ranged 0.2-8% or phospholipids, under the pressure ranged 30-1200 atm, in both working contours of the homogenizer and cooling temperature ranged +18 - +55°C, at addition of electrolytes into the obtained perfluorocarbon emulsion followed by sterilization filtration of the emulsion obtained through pores diameter being 0.2 mcm to obtain ready-to-use medicinal form of submicron perfluorocarbon emulsion at average size of particles ranged 0.025-0.03 mcm. The innovation provides modified method of perfluorocarbon emulsion homogenization to shorten the time for obtaining perfluorocarbon compositions-medicinal form due to successive supplementing the main working contour of the homogenizer with additional working contour of homogenization device and buffer tank to level the pressure between these two contours working in different modes.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
