INNER CAVITY CUTTING OUT METHOD IN LAMINATE HONEYCOMB STRUCTURES Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B23B51/04 

FIELD: mechanical working procedures, possibly forming dead openings in honeycomb blocks or honeycomb structures with filler of aluminum foil.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preliminarily working part by annular drilling and then removing core; in addition drilling in part central opening whose diameter is less than that of core and inserting body to said opening for cutting out annular core. Said body includes profiled ducts where cutting members in the form of flexible belt are arranged; cutting members have cutting teeth in their ends and it is arranged in sleeve having return spring and joined through ball bearing assemblies with outer holder rolled in at two sides along its ends. Said body is joined with sleeve by means of pin passing through lengthwise groove. Said pin is used for retracting cutting members out of body along profiled ducts. Length of groove is equal to that of cross section of cutting members.

EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of method, high-quality trimming of honeycombs along end of dead opening without warping parts made on base of honeycomb structures with filler of aluminum foil.
