FIELD: bridge construction, particularly methods or apparatus specially adapted for erecting or assembling bridges.
SUBSTANCE: method involves hanging out span structure end by connecting control-rods, thrust and supporting cross-arms on the span structure end so that they enclose the span structure end; lifting span structure end by imparting vertical force to thrust cross-arms; repairing pier head or replacing support parts thereof; lowering span structure in design position; removing support beam, cross-arms and control-rods. Before support beam connection additional temporary pier is installed near pier to be repaired. Immovable span structure adjoining to pier to be repaired is supported by additional pier. After that support beams are installed so that the first ends of support beams are immovably carried by span structure to be hung out and the second ends thereof are movably supported by neighboring fixed span structure coaxially to additional temporary pier. Then control-rods, thrust and supporting cross-arms are installed on support beam. Vertical force is imparted to thrust control-arms by vertical displacement of supported end of support beam. Bridge pier reconstruction device comprises control-rods enclosing span structure, as well as thrust and supporting cross-arms and supporting cross-arm lifting means. Device has additional temporary pier located near bridge pier and adapted to carry neighboring immovable span structure. Device also has support beams having the first ends immovably supported by hung out span structure and the second ends movably carried by immovable span structure adjoining the pier coaxially to additional temporary support. Control-rods and supporting cross-arms are installed on support beams in end part of hung out span structure and are transversal to longitudinal bridge axis. Thrust cross-arm lifting means is mounted on movably supported end of support beam.
EFFECT: decreased labor inputs and costs during span structure beam lifting, prevention of span structure beam plate damage and widened field of operations.
