ROTARY BACK VALVE Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC F16K15/14 

FIELD: manufacture of pipe fittings to be used in large capacity pipeline systems.

SUBSTANCE: rotary back valve has connection flanges with circular sealing slots, seat with circular sealing protrusion, locking member, adapter with circular sealing protrusion, and fastening members. Seat is made in the form of sleeve. Locking member is positioned on bottom platform of seat and comprises movable and immovable portions interconnected by means of narrow arcuate connection web of restricted length. Movable portion of locking member is made from elastic material and is reinforced with rigid seating ring, spherical segment and rigidity ribs. Immovable portion of locking member is made in the form of triangle in longitudinal section, said triangle being oriented with its hypotenuse toward center and defining with its legs an angle of from 90 deg to 93 deg. Immovable portion is fixed within sleeve by means of pressing bushing. Seat is connected to adapter for detachment in longitudinal direction.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation and increased service life of rotary back valve.
