SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to fulfill the access through subclavicular vein due to supraclavicular access by Ioffe. One should carry out retrograde phlebography of left renal and left external iliac vein, while carrying out the latter it is important to apply a venous tourniquet in the upper third of left thigh. In case of retrograde contrasting of left internal spermatic vein one should detect renospermatic type of varicocele, at retrograde contrasting of left external spermatic vein one should determine ileospermatic type of varicocele, at retrograde contrasting of both spermatic veins one should state upon mixed type of varicocele. The innovation enables to shorten the terms of investigation, decrease the level of radial loading and the quantity of contrast preparation, improve hemodynamic conditions for retrograde phlebography.
