FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, possibly preparation of raw materials for blast furnace melting.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of providing value of microstructure module of charge (Fetot x CaO)/(Fe+2 x SiO2) related to reducing capability factor of agglomerate in range 7 - 16; moistening charge successively by three stages: at first at mixing charge with in mixer; then along first 1/3 of palletizing unit length from place of charge loading; and along second 1/3 of palletizing unit length in order to provide complete assimilation of water by charge and high strength of pellets of pelletized charge. Part of charge before third stage of moistening is broken by means of mechanical system or at treating the whole charge in zone of palletizing unit during cascade mode of its motion. Pelletized charge is heated till temperature that is by 10 - 15°C less than dew pointing order to provide high strength of pellets.
EFFECT: reduced ecologically harmful bursts to atmosphere, lowered fuel and power consumption for producing agglomerate with improved set of metallurgical properties providing decreased coke consumption at melting agglomerate in blast furnace.
