PROCEDURE FOR PRODUCTION OF AGGLOMERATE FOR MELTING IN BLAST FURNACE Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC C22B1/16 

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: procedure for production of agglomerate sintered out of charge of iron containing components, flux and fuel, consists in preparing charge by its metering, in mixing, in pelletising and in successive sintering. During preparation there is formed mixture of slime, scale, including oiled scale as one of iron containing components and fine fraction additive of phytogenic origin in form of sawdust or peat or their mixture. Weight ratio of additive to mixture of slime and scale is within ranges 0.01-0.05 and 0.01-0.07 at production of agglomerate in intervals of its basicity CaO/SiO₂ 1.10-1.44 units and 1.45-1.90 correspondingly. Amount of added slime and scale is 50-120 kg/t of agglomerate.

EFFECT: secondary raw material expanded processing, improved complex of metallurgical properties of agglomerate, saving power resources at agglomerate production and melting.
