FIELD: hydraulic engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be sued for removal of clarified water from settlers designed for cleaning surface sewage waters of metallurgical, mine, machine0building plants for replenishing recycled water supply and for other purposes. Proposed float-type water intake has water receiver, floats and hose. Water receiver is made in form of perforated cylinder and bands and flat confuser connected with cylinder by larger base so that plane of confuser is square to axis of cylinder. Lower generatrix of confuser is located at a distance from cylinder surface equal to diameter of hose, and perforation is made symmetrically from both sides at equal distance from confuser.

EFFECT: provision of uniform water outlet and reduced cost of device in manufacture.
