FIELD: automatic reclaiming of filter medium. SUBSTANCE: filter includes settling tank with movable sleeve inside it; sleeve is provided with float device where cylinder with screen water intake surface is located; cylinder has tight cover and bottom, flexible porous filter media located between perforated partitions and taper diaphragms mounted immovably in cylinder; perforated partitions and diaphragms are secured on perforated rod mounted along of cylinder for performing vertical reciprocating motion; it is equipped with ballast reservoir fitted with float valve located under cover of cylinder, spring-loaded retainer connected with tank by means of flexible coupling; tank is filled through pipe line whose upper end is located above level of overflow edge of ballast reservoir; in lower portion perforated rod is combined with distributing device made in form of overturning reservoir with counter-weight. EFFECT: ease of maintenance; enhanced operational reliability; development of iron-depositing bacteria in surface layer of filter medium; enhanced efficiency of cleaning containing difficultly oxidized iron-organic complexes. 2 dwg
