FIELD: metallurgy, possibly supporting members in system for secondary cooling, drawing stands and in molds of roll type casting -rolling aggregates.
SUBSTANCE: roll includes axle with journals where axial and radial openings are formed; hollow mandrel mounted in axial opening for feeding cooling agent through it into axial and radial openings. Eccentric is mounted on mandrel with possibility of closing part of radial openings. Eccentric has sealing in its surface. Structure of roll is such that it provides mainly cooling of that portion of roll surface that is subjected to intensive heating from ingot.
EFFECT: improved design of roll providing its lowered bending and increased useful life period.
