FIELD: electrical engineering; electromagnetic operating mechanisms for high-voltage vacuum circuit breakers provided with magnetic trigger.

SUBSTANCE: proposed electromagnetic operating mechanism provided with single-steady-state magnetic system has magnetic core and armature mounted for displacement, control coil and permanent magnets positioned in magnetic system so that like-polarity poles face working gap in series with magnetic flux induced by control coil. Magnetic system has at least four permanent magnets forming four parallel magnetic circuits together with magnetic core and armature. Operating mechanism can be provided with hand-operated disconnecting mechanism incorporating minimum two magnetic strips.

EFFECT: improved performance characteristics, enhanced reliability, facilitated control, and reduced power requirement.
