SUBSTANCE: mobile communication system contains base station and a set of mobile stations and operates according to closed circuit of transmitter power adjustment. Power control commands for transmissions via uplink are produced as a result of measurements of signals received via downlink, which contains undefined data values. Optionally, undefined data values may contain power control commands for controlling power of transmission via uplink.

EFFECT: reduction of system resource requirements.
